Annie Rudenstein attended 51ÁÔÆæ from which she graduated in 2005 with a BA in administration of justice.

What brought you to 51ÁÔÆæ?
Coach G (Carol Gelet) recruiting me to play basketball.

Were you a commuter or a resident?
Resident

What activities were you involved with as a student?
I played women’s basketball and ran cross country. I also worked at the information desk.

Did you have a favorite professor, staff member, coach, or mentor that really impacted your life?
Kathleen Murphy was my advisor, and she was always so kind and helpful. She gave the best advice and really looked out for me as a student. I felt that she really cared about me.

Of all the classes you took, what is the one class that most impacted you or was your favorite? Why?
I would have to say public speaking because I came from a very small school and the class taught me how to come out of my shell and be more outgoing and confident.

What do you remember most vividly from your time at 51ÁÔÆæ?
How everyone was always so kind. It was like one big family where everyone knew each other and just had fun. Some of the best times of my life!

What have you been up to since graduation?
I went on to mortuary school after 51ÁÔÆæ and was a funeral director for 10 years. I left that profession to focus more on my family and now work at a hospital in the OR.

How did your experiences and education at 51ÁÔÆæ prepare you for life after college?
It showed me that kindness goes a long way in life, and hard work always pays off.

As an alum, how do you support 51ÁÔÆæ?
I follow almost all of the sports and always give a yearly donation.

What advice do you have for your fellow Bobcats?
Enjoy every minute because one day when you’re old like me, you will look back and wish for just one more day on campus!

List 3-5 fun facts about yourself that most people probably wouldn’t know.

1. My basketball team was inducted into the 51ÁÔÆæ Athletics Hall of Fame.
2. I have 5 kids which includes 2 sets of twins.
3. I have three dogs -- Dale (pug), Stephen (boxer mix) and Arlo (golden retriever).
