Early Bird Registration for 51ΑΤΖζ Golf Outing available through Sept. 8

 

Golfers from throughout the region are invited to play in the annual 51ΑΤΖζ Golf Outing, presented by Ebara Elliott Energy, and are encouraged to take advantage of early bird pricing ($175 per golfer; $700 per foursome) by registering no later than Sept. 8. After that date, registration will increase to $200 per individual and $800 per foursome. Details and registration may be found at

The outing will be held Monday, September 28, at the Ligonier Country Club (Rt. 711 S, 729 Fairway Lane, Ligonier, PA 15658). Rain or shine, the day begins at 8 a.m. with registration and a 9 a.m. shotgun start (four-player scramble). 

β€œWe look forward to welcoming alumni, family, and friends to our return to the Ligonier Country Club for 51ΑΤΖζ’s annual outing,” said Sheila Kudrick, golf outing coordinator. β€œJoin us for a challenging and fair golfing experience for every level of player, plus a day will be filled with fun and good food while raising support for the students and campus programs.”

As part of their registration, golfers receive:

  • 18 holes of golf with cart;
  • Bag services;
  • Range balls and practice green prior to play;
  • Giveaways and team prizes;
  • Foursome photo;
  • Skills contest on the course; 
  • Complimentary refreshments and beverages throughout play;
  • Grab-and-go lunch at the turn;
  • Buffet following play;
  • Free green fee for return pay (cart not included).

51ΑΤΖζ alumni will have fun competing for both bragging rights and to have their names engraved on the perpetual Alumni Foursome Challenge Trophy. This honor is given to the outing’s highest placing foursome that includes a 51ΑΤΖζ alumnus or alumna.

Proceeds from the golf outing benefit 51ΑΤΖζ Athletics, the 51ΑΤΖζ Alumni Association (PGAA), and the 51ΑΤΖζ Student Emergency Fund.

"The golf outing provides a wonderful opportunity to support 51ΑΤΖζ Athletics and create enhanced opportunities for our student-athletes,” said Lou Zadecky, director of Athletics at the Hempfield Township campus. β€œThe impact of those who sponsor, participate, and volunteer is felt not only on the day of the event, but throughout the year by our student-athletes.”

Your support helps create opportunities for 51ΑΤΖζ students that may otherwise not be accessible without the generosity of our sponsors, participants, and volunteers."
